She may be Macedonian but some vixens believe that she is Southern Vietnamese because unlike most vixens Maja has plain yellow fur but has a red face and underbelly. In her first appearance she is a normal vixen but in her return in the Anthro Saga she adopts the style of dress of the Animalian politician Madeline which adds to her looking like she is Asian. Maja is Macedonian but she dresses like an ancient Chinese warrior as her style of dress consists of black knee length Chinese style trousers, white Chinese style boots and a grey-brown jacket with a dark green belt. Maja speaks English, Montenegrin, Macedonian, Vietnamese and other Slavic languages.
Towards her enemies Maja is well known for her extreme defiance and the fact she is just as arrogant to her arrest as the French vixen Marie is, she is also known for the fact she simply does not accept her defeat (not that anyone accepts defeat really). Much like Marie she also tries to resist her arrest which results in her hands being tied behind her back whilst being held by at least four of her enemies.
On trial Maja like many of the other vixens on trial shakes off every charge that comes at her whilst most vixens are more respectful on trial. At first when she meets Emily Maja hates her as much as Cristina and Sabina do but slowly but surely grows to like her whilst Emily's relation with Sabina remains cold and icy. In battle she is just as skilled as much as the other vixens in hand to hand combat and like many of the vixens in the Junta even knows karate. But all this aside she is friendly with other vixens in the Junta as well as her own allies who aren't involved in the Junta which includes the National Protection Process and the Animalian Patriotic Front. Maja is also a loving and caring character and loves her husband Lazar and her son Branko.
