Just like the other generals he has plain fur meaning his fur has no patterns or stripes. In this case he has dark blue fur with a white underbelly making him a spitting image of the Junta's previous leader Scarface (actually Red in disguise). In his first appearance he is a normal fox but in his return he wears a white shirt, a dark blue Marshall jacket and grey trousers in the Bunker but in Argentina he dresses like the Dominican dictator Rafael Trujillo as he wears a white shirt, black trousers, a black jacket and waistcoat and a white bow tie. Marcel speaks English, French and Spanish.
His wife Marie often says that Marcel's personality lies in whatever clothing he wears so for example if he wears a frilly shirt, a velvet smoking jacket, evening trousers that are sharply creased and a black and red cape he is very formal and charismatic, when he wears a shirt, waistcoat, cravat, a frock coat, and a long multicolored scarf he is described as being on the eccentric side and though he is not as elegant as his wife when he wears what he wears in Argentina he is described as being as extravagant as her.
As well as being on the eccentric side he is extremely unpredictable being rather eccentric one minute and being extremely callous the next. Marcel's friendship with the Italian general Vincente is also like Shavkat's friendship with Panteleimon, despite their nationalities they are very, very close friends. To his daughter Marcel is protective and much like a father figure. When he is in the military he is very immaculate and commanding enough for Roberto to call him "France's Saddam." All this aside he also is very protective of not only his daughter but his wife.
