Muammar al-Gaddafi

Muammar Gaddafi commonly known as Colonel Gaddafi was a Libyan revolutionary and politician. He assumed power in a 1969 coup and ruled the country for 42 years until his deposal and death in the Libyan Civil War being one of three Arab heads of state being deposed in the Arab spring another being Hosni Mubarak. The character Muammar is named after him.
