Pongo is the main protagonist in the film 101 Dalmatians and a minor character in it's sequel with the main protagonist being Patch. He is the husband of Perdita and the father of 15 puppies and the adoptive father of 84 others.
He is a dalmatian with white fur, black ears unlike his wife who has white ears and a paw print pattern on his left shoulder with a red collar which disappears in the Anthro Saga. In his first appearances he is a normal dog whilst in his return in the Anthro Saga he tries to be as simple as possible as he wears black trousers, a white shirt and a black jacket with no tie. At the Elysian casino chain however he wears a black tuxedo.
The Anthro Saga
In the Anthro Saga Pongo and his family are regarded as some of the wealthiest animals in Animalia and also one of Animalia's most successful Animalians with Perdita having a successful film and music career serving alongside her husband in acting and Pongo's career is equally successful as he is the owner of the Elysian casino chain and alongside Vixen, Kovu, Copper and Balto is one of the wealthiest animals in Animalia.
Because of their wealth the couple are able to raise their children sufficiently and well but when it comes to the First Animalian coup this wealth is put at risk especially during the Night of the Thieves. In the midst of the violence however Pongo and the children escape under the protection of Omar, Shohreh and the Mujahideen whereas Perdita is not so lucky.
Though the wealth is not confiscated Pongo and his children are put under the resistance's protection whereas Perdita is arrested by the Junta and interred in Trebdanek before being moved to Ashtiago Women's Prison where she is imprisoned for the first three months of the dictatorship until the resistance's women's factions launch an attack on the prison freeing Perdita and putting her under the resistance's protection for the last three months of the dictatorship at which point she is reunited with her family but Pongo notices notable changes in Perdita because though she is usually an elegant dog she does not appear anywhere near as elegant as she usually does and she describes that the house she and her family reside is now occupied by the Junta's allies.
However during the second Animalian coup Pongo and his family are returned to their wealth after the second coup by the Fox Junta and the Animalian Patriotic Front backed by the National Protection Process, the A.R.A, the L.O.A and the Mujahideen throws Mechanikat out of office and brings back democracy. It also returns the wealthiest Animalians back to wealth whilst stripping ill gotten money from former rich allies of the Junta and one of those who gets their great wealth back is Pongo and his family.
